On November 14-16, 2019, ICGECD 2019 was held in Wuhan; Wuhan Business University and European University Cyprus signed a MoU.

On October 23-24, 2020, ICGECD 2020 was held in Wuhan; Wuhan Business University initiated the establishment of the International Federation of General Education for Applied Universities (IFGEAU).

On September 24-25, 2021, ICGECD 2021 was held in Wuhan; Wuhan Business University initiated the establishment of the International Think-tank of General Education for Applied Universities (ITGEAU).

On September 16-17, 2022, ICGECD 2022 was held in Wuhan. The historical keynote speakers covered 5 continents, including Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America, and Africa.
